Cryoman Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Here's my paper "prototype" of a pickguard design for my H-137. I tried to shy away from historical Gibsonian design attributes... I think it's more Jetsonian.... :') I'm going to try the gold/brown pearl/shell laminate material from Warmouth in attempt to match the tone controls.... Stay tuned. Once I have it all done, I'd be willing to share the pattern & build details with anyone interested... Cheers, Cryoman. http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd302/cryoman_bucket/Pickguard7.jpg[/img]
High Flying Bird Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 That looks better than any other two pick up 137 pick guard design that I have seen. I like it!
skydog Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Nice looking p/g and a nice guitar also! Does Heritage make that in a single pup "junior" version?
Cryoman Posted October 22, 2007 Author Posted October 22, 2007 Heritage does indeed make a single P-90 "Junior" version of this guitar. Wolfe's has a handful of these you can look at via their site. Cheers!
Gitfiddler Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 +1 on your cool design, Cryoman. Keep us posted. I sure like those H-137's!!
dblazer Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 Looks better than the factory version, for sure. I like the "Jetson's" look.
Dick Seacup Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Cryoman, you should get that to Ren and Crew in Kalamazoo.
GuitArtMan Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 I like it. Kinda reminds me of... http://www.uncorrelated.com/images/Star%20Trek%20XI.jpg[/img]
