I'm looking for a brighter toned guitar. I am thinking Phat Cats and laminated body (to

help avoid feedback). Kinda want a "spankier" tone. Your opinions and

input is welcomed and necessary!

 

575 / 525 Not quite sure what size body I want to go with

Even flaming on wood

Laminate maple

White binding

Sounds like a winner to me. Bound f-holes is a nice touch.

I don't know if laminate sounds spankier than solid wood. Does it really? I would rather say it sounds muddier.

 

The Phat Cats are probably a great choice. However, if you can find a set of Duncan Phat Staples, they might be even more to your liking. I don't have any first hand experience with staple pickups but it seems that they sound as fat and twangy as can be.

 

Arrow inlays on a 575 or 525 - is that even possible?
