Number8 Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 What if you were told that Heritage was closing forever and that if you wanted one more guitar from them, you had to order it immediately. No custom orders. What would it be? For me: A 555, because I love my Prospect and I'd want something a little bigger with a little more bling. I'd let them pick the colors.
GASguy Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 A 525 most likely, or possibly a 2 pickup Eagle; I have most of the other bases covered that I am currently iinterested in.
DetroitBlues Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 A Mille, with the control layout of the 150. No f holes.
y2kc Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 I just wouldn't let them close. They aren't going anywhere.
TalismanRich Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 First thought would be a 357. Or maybe a Super or KB. Or a LW157 with split inlays, one piece flame top, Antique natural, or a blonde. Tough call!
Guest HRB853370 Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 I just wouldn't let them close. They aren't going anywhere. Concur.
dbetts41 Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 korina Vee ... hey this is all hypothetical isn't it
LucSulla Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Sunburst 555. Or, if we are doing hypotheticals, what ever their version of a double neck SG would be. Why? Why not?
rockabilly69 Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 8 - 8.5lb Goldtop with lightback H150. RS guitarworks aluminum tailpiece with steel studs, Pigtail or Callaham ABR with Retrospec posts (screwed directly into the top) and thumbwheels, Throbak P90's, Complete RS guitarworks wiring harness with superpot volumes and closely matched 500K pots Jensen PIO caps, the best kluson style replica tuners. That would do it for me:)
High Flying Bird Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 I think the 357 is a custom order. When I got my guitar of a lifetime I ordered a 357. If I had to do another I might go with a 550 or a 157 in either OSB or colored like H's 150.
SofaPlayer Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 A Henry Johnson, translucent wine red burst top and back, translucent black rim.
H555rocks Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 A natural Golden Eagle, original PAF's, finger tailpiece, and my name on the truss rod cover.
JackBaruth Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Blonde Super Eagle, every possible piece of bling, single Throbak at the neck.
kidsmoke Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 very tough call....I'd probably spend so much time debating models I'd miss it. probably a VSB Millie Ultra, p'ups to be determined (let Duerloo decide, it's his build). Completely classic tip o' the hat to Gibson's benchmark electric, while being the epitome of what Heritage has learned, and introduced.
yoslate Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Chambered 157. Beefy neck. Nickel hardware. '55 style stop tailpiece, no tune-a-matic. Lollar Charlie Christian in the neck, Lollar P-90 at the bridge.
Gitfiddler Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Millie Ultra Pro; Vintage burst; 4A flame top; 59 Neck profile; 5pc flamey neck; Throbak p'ups; Split-block abalone inlays; ...Um, you get the picture!!
