Visual Sound Route 66

It's one of their double pedal series. Left channel is a Tube Screamer like design with a couple features like a bass boost to thicken up a Strat. Second channel is a compressor, never used one before, so it's new to me.. Had a lot fun messing around with it tonight. Very unique, cool pedal. My second Visual Sound. Both are impressive pedals ( My other is an Angry Fuzz).

VS builds some nice pedals, I've had their original pedal the H2O for several years now and it still sounds very nice indeed. I haven't tried the R-66 yet however.

Only spent about ten minutes with it last night. I have to get my rig settings figured out for Friday's gig. I'll try to capture some recordings then...

Sounds great DB, great tones, I especially like the strat through that.

basssman makes anything sound good.

Tell me what you like about compression.

Compression helps keep my single notes sound nearly as loud as my chords, particularly when playing the high strings.. The compressor has its own gain, so it's also like a boost too...

yup . . . got me thinking about it too.

I love the Bassman tone, so thick and juicy! Used it most of the night tonight on stage. Totally rocked. I have to say when using a wah, it sounds better without compression.

DB, two of the absolute best guitar players I know use the Route 66 and they SWEAR by it. My friend Paul Blandford, who built my 18 watt Marshall style amp, uses his in front of

a Fulldrive Mosfet II pedal and it sounds AWESOME. I especially like the compressor side of that thing!
