2bornot2bop Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 okay, a few of you were wondering where this one ended up. I was bein' so good, and didn't bid on it the first time...even posted it here for you to buy...but nooooooooo acoustically she's a dream....not like my last SE with double humbuckers...a real dream acoustically...haven't plugged her in yet because I couldn't pull myself away from the joy of playing her acoustically...very close to my SKB acoustically.
GASguy Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, or should I say bluetiful!
2bornot2bop Posted February 28, 2013 Author Posted February 28, 2013 yes, she's a snake charmer she is...thx guys!
y2kc Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 I have seen H-150's, Millies and now this, Heritage knows how to do blue. The word "fantastic" describes this guitar. The color is what makes it combined with the construction detail. I see a contrast in a very serious build and a lighthearted color. What I am saying is I like this. Enjoy this guitar, y2kc
schundog Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 Let's see, what made me "gulp" more; the flame on the rim of the guitar and pickguard, the multi-piece neck, or the seemingly endless layers of neck binding; WOW, what a beauty! Congratulations, man. Of course, you had a pretty impressive collection to begin with, so any additions had a lot to live up to. This one ought to do that quite nicely.
DetroitBlues Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 Excellent appointments... Fantastic guitar, congrats! Being so acoustically renown, I wonder why they never have a piezo installed. Seems like a great idea...
2bornot2bop Posted February 28, 2013 Author Posted February 28, 2013 Eagle? Super Eagle, yes. Thanks all...just plugged her in...she's a player...my previous Schaller's in Lady Rose SE didn't sound as these do in this archtop...strange. Both SE's are parallel braced.
hinesarchtop Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 So unique..............totally BADASS!!!!!
hinesarchtop Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 The 3 1/8" body depth may be custom. They're normally 3". The blue really works.
rockabilly69 Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 I've never owned a blue guitar, but I really like that one! Beautiful!
houndhome Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 I am sure many of us were watching ebay, and wondering where this one was going to. Congratulations, same year I think as my blonde SE.
Keith7940236 Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 I've always been fascinated with that finish. That is a very unique and beautiful guitar 2B, congratulations! I set of Schaller Golden 50's in another guitar and really liked the tone. I believe that one is a keeper!!
SofaPlayer Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 Jaw-dropping & breathtaking, leaves me drooling like a baby. My sincerest congratulations.
fxdx99 Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 Man o man o man. What everyone else said. Beautiful.
Gitfiddler Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 2B~ Man, I'm so glad you scored "Rhapsody In Blue II"! It found a good home. I too lusted in my heart for that big blue beauty. As usual, your fine photo skills bring out the best in an archtop. Play her in good health! Tim
2bornot2bop Posted February 28, 2013 Author Posted February 28, 2013 2B~ Man, I'm so glad you scored "Rhapsody In Blue II"! It found a good home. I too lusted in my heart for that big blue beauty. As usual, your fine photo skills bring out the best in an archtop. Play her in good health! Tim thanks brother! I was thinkin' of you when I posted the link here...I know what a weakness you and Marty have for anything blue - Well, me too! I'm surprised what a player she is because my only former experience with a double hummer SE was with Lady Rose, and that was a bit disappointing both acoustically and electrically. This archtop is identical in design and electronics, and yet it plays and sounds completely different. If she has a drawback it's she possesses a neck on the thin side of medium...that would be a plus for some...I'm used to the fuller neck on the SKB...at any rate it's fun to simply have something different to play. Thanks again ALL! I can't express what an uplifting place the HOC is...if you're havin' a bummin' day, or if ya just want to chill with some cats who have a jones as bad as your own, you guys are AWRIGHT!
bluescat Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Dang! That would have gone so well between my trans blue 150 Ultra and trans blue 140 (sharp cutaway)! Jealous doesn't begin to describe it!
