58super Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 When an archtop such as an Eagle is ordered from Heritage with a thin body option how thick is the body? 2.5 inches or something else? Thanks in advance. David

Thanks in advance. David Since that would be a custom order, the body thickness is up to the customer. If Marv or Ren agrees, then they make it the way you want it.
Keith7940236 Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Heritage used to make a thin version of the Eagle called an " Eagle TDH" that was 2-1/4" on the rim. It was a very comfortable guitar and surprisingly pleasing when played acoustically. They come up for sale occasionally. I'm sure you could custom order about any thickness you desire.
MartyGrass Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Popular choices are 2 1/4" and 2 3/4". If I were ordering a custom, I'd go with 2" or 2 1/4" personally. Here's mine with 2 1/4" so you can better picture what Heritage can do.

MartyGrass Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 That is a beautiful guitar. Thanks, and I agree. But just as importantly it sounds really good like an arch top should and it plays well.
2bornot2bop Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Mark, Benedetto or Buscarino tailpiece. I wasn't aware your GE was so thin...NICE!!!!!!
