rockabilly69 Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 I left my acoustic in the car and played the H150 for my house Wednesday gig at The Montage Resort. I played it through my pedal board, then into my Allen and Heath Mixer, sent to the house Bose L1 System. It sounded great! I played it for an hour set, then retired it. Here it is sitting on the house Steinway:)
rockabilly69 Posted March 8, 2013 Author Posted March 8, 2013 it looks alot like my 2011 osb, is it a 25th?No, it's a new H150 VWB, that looks different is every type of light:)
hammerboogie Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 lovely axe, does it have the SD-59's, and no pick guard like mine, mine has no holes so didn't come with one, i love the top so much i wouldn't want it anyways!

mars_hall Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Don't you just hate it when they jump up on the piano like that and just sit there, smug, like they own the place.
schundog Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 I'm assuming the towel underneath your 150 is to protect the guitar, not the Steinway! Two very nice instruments there. I'm glad to hear your Heritage covered the show with flying colors.

tbp0701 Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 I've been debating buying a new H150 in VWB. This thread and photo aren't helping me resist.
rockabilly69 Posted March 23, 2013 Author Posted March 23, 2013 So how do you like the Pearly Gates pickups?I think I have them adjusted to the best they can be for me. The neck pickup is pretty nice, but the bridge isn't exactly what I need, it's too thin, I need more mids. I've heard better, so I just ordered a set of custom shop Peter Green Seymour Duncan humbuckers, although the set I ordered doesn't have the reversed magnet in the neck pickup. This is what they sound like...
bolero Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 wow when he starts soloing around 1:30 onward I can totally hear where Beano era Clapton got his licks & style from....I bet he jammed along to this 1,000,000 times as a kid even the little raking thing he does is in there
rockabilly69 Posted March 23, 2013 Author Posted March 23, 2013 Bolero you do realize this is roadrunner covering Freddie King! He is using his historic LP with the SD pickups through his blackface 65 Princeton.
bolero Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 haha no I didn't, who is roadrunner? funny I was thinking Freddie (y) would have been using P90's back then, but those didn't sound like P90's, lol
mark555 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 a fabulous looking guitar, if only Mrs 555 would agree that it is time I bought one!
