squawken Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 I've been researching these amps for about a year, and finally pulled the trigger on a Trip-r. It is 35 watts with el34 tubes and 18 watts with 6v6 tubes. I think I was chasing Bonamassa tone but ended up with another bonus development. Plugged my PRS DGT in and got total David Grissom tone! Very articulate distortion. Hear all notes. Very responsive to your pick attack. Hard for me to describe all aspects but highly recommended.
DetroitBlues Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Is Bonamassa a duel amp user, Marshall and Fender combinations?
H Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Nice! I know forum member Jimbob and he's had a couple of Carol Ann amps. I think you'll be very pleased with yours
squawken Posted March 10, 2013 Author Posted March 10, 2013 Is Bonamassa a duel amp user, Marshall and Fender combinations? I think right now he is all Marshall. In the recent past he has been Marshall and other boutique amps (Trainwreck, CA, and others).
