Basically a standard 525 in vintage wineburst.....With the following added

Sperzel locking tuners with ivory knobs

Stinger

Fat neck

Premium wood

Burst color on back of neck

Ordering this through Jay Wolfe. He suggested I call and speak to Marv about the flamey wood. He said to let him know my HOC membership, all the Heritage guitars I own and have owned and Marv should hook me up.

Opinions and other ideas welcomed!

"Stinger?"

Is there a glossary around here?

Sounds like fun to, order a guitar from Heritage built to specs.

I once had n OM Martin pattern built for me by a local luthier, but that was ages ago and long gone now (and not exactly in the same class as a Heritage archtop, though had its assets, for a while).

The stinger is the black "V" on the rear of the headstock.

...

It used to be a standard item, it's now a custom option

Aha.

Thank you.

I once had a Barney Kessell Gibson with that, some decades ago.

Nice specs, Steve! The wineburst is a gorgeous finish. No bound headstock? Looking forward to your NGD!

What he said...call Wolfe back and get a bound headstock. It looks cool and protects from dings and chips.

But be careful if you slide your hand all the way down there when playing, it can be PAINFUL!!

I added bound headstock, MOP "The Heritage" logo and a arrow/diamond (like 555) inlay on the headstock. Had to do it!

Good move, Steve. Obviously you wanted it slightly blinged. Spending a few more dollars up front will pay off down the road each time you open the case on your custom beauty.
