Comments On The Roy Clark Model

Every time I look at photo's of Martygrass's guitars I drool over my keyboard and they short out. I think I've bought 4-5 key boards since joining HOC. I once saw one of his guitars in person and had to go home to change my drawers. This morning I look at his Roy Clark and have to wipe the spit off my chin and worry about the rumbling in my stomach. Damn your Mark! :icon_pale:

Guys:

Going to try to post a picture of the Roy Clark Model I am considering having made. In conversation with Jay Wolfe I find that you can get P-90 pickups instead of humbuckers and that any standard color is available. I have also asked about neck profile and it would be advisable to take a guitar to K-zoo and have it patterned. No reply yet on that question.

But, if I do order, the guitar will look like this:

That's what I call a beautiful guitar. Chestnut Sunburst is the color, I am told and I think it looks stellar.

Thanks for the opinions and comments.

Chestnut Sunburst is indeed very beautiful. Here's a picture of my Millennium Ultra

Consider block inlays.

If it is routed for humbuckers, you can put a P90 style pup in it. This is a more versatile approach than routing for dog ears or soap bars.

Here's one with split blocks. Another good choice is abalone.

You can get the guitar with or without the RC signature.

I'd have it routed for humbuckers. That keeps the most options open.

I've posted this more than several times but here's my 576 with Duncan P-Rails

P-90, humbucker and single coil all in one guitar

That guitar just doesn't look right. ;)
