Hi all,

I'm a newbie here. I've owned Heritage in the past and recently posted about a new H 150. That guitar ended up not being "the one", so I set off on my search.

I've owned a H535 and regret selling it, and I was still looking for a nice, resonant semi-hollow sound. I came across this 2007 Prospect at Wolfe Guitars and it is now mine.

She's a beauty and in great condition. The nut is the only item that needs to be replaced. It was clearly miscut at the factory and someone made the gaps VERY wide and deep to accomodate heavier strings. I'll have a new nut installed next week.

The pickups are Seth Lover and they sound great.

I'm really pleased with the Propsect.

Also, I was wondering if someone might be able to school me on the center block. I know that they come "floating" as a standard feature, but the center block in this guitar seems to be touching the back - it does not appear to be floating. The tag inside the guitar reads "Heritage Guitar Custom Shop", which leaves me wondering if someone customed ordered the full block.

Just a curiousity for me.

Rock on!

Thanks for the warm welcome.

It is a great guitar. I've got it set up with 11's, so it has a big sound. I It isn't as boomy as a 335 I once owned, which is nice. It has a really nice Classic Rock voice. I recently sold all of my gear to start fresh, so I need to find a new amp for the Prospect.

Does it ever end?

Rock on.

Welcome aboard Faceman! You certainly picked a nice one to start with.

I ordered my Prospect with a solid block and love it. Enjoy.

Congrats! That does look nice. Ar you in the Jupiter area?

I'm in the Charlotte area. I've been to Wolfe's Jupiter shop before, but this time I took a chance and had the guitar sent to me. It worked out well.

Sometimes the floating center block is hard to see. It is really only about 1/4 of an inch off the back of the guitar. Try and stick something in there… piece of paper or thin plastic to see if it will slide in under the block.

Congratulations, that is beautiful! I'm a 535 guy, but I always dug the smaller body of the Gibson ES-339, so the Prospect intrigued me. Still, the "overpronounced" ears turned me off on the guitar. When one came up for sale here on the HOC, I took a chance, and man, am I glad I did. I love the guitar, and it can really rock with the Seymour Duncan 59s in it. I have posted this here before, but here is my buddy Dave putting my Prospect through it's paces through his Egnater Tweaker through the Eminence Texas Heat in my Blues Junior.
