I traded for a 150 a month or so ago, a 20th anniversary model with ebony fretboard. Very nice, but it was trans blue....not my cup of tea color wise, so I had marked this guitar for a refinish. I sent it out to Marty Bell a couple of weeks ago, and I just got back the first pics of the finished product. I thought I'd post them here for all to see. Enjoy

I wanted that guitar to do the exact same thing... I would of chosen a different color, but the premise is the same. So awesome!

Thanks, Man! What color would you have chosen? I wanted something real traditional. I thought about a tobacco burst, but I've had those before and such. Oh, and what the heck are you doing up this early?

I have cancer and can't sleep from pain/treatment...what's your excuse?! lol

I loved my amber color 140 I had refinished.

yeah, that's a great looking guitar! It's cool how you start to see more of the character of the wood, once you strip off the color and go with something really transparent like the amber. Great choice!

Knopfler74~ Hey man, hang in there. I hope and pray you have a full recovery. Your refin looks fantastic, but good health is priority #1.

Marty is located in California, and he's done finish work for G&L and many other manufacturers, mostly higher end stuff. He has a web site that you can easily find with a google search. He frequently does finish work for manufacturers NAMM guitars - vox has used him frequently for this purpose. He's known for quick turn around times, and very very good prices.

Beautiful refinishing job and choice of colors.

That's a sweet refin knopfler74. You have to be a very trusting man to ship a guitar across the country to get worked upon. Congrats.

She's the second been through the Smurf1 stable that I love.

You are more ambitious than I am, Matt; I would have just traded for a guitar in the color I liked! It's looking very cool, though, I dig the new finish.

Take care of yourself; We are all pulling for you as you go through your treatment.
