H Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 I'd like to have a BB Pro bridge and HRW neck combination in my 150. I bet that would SING!! Another pickup set worth a look, and not expensive, is SD Phat Cats. They sounded fantastic in my VSB 150.
skydog Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 I've got a set of Sheptone Tributes in my avatar guitar (1977 Yamaha Lord Player) that make that guitar sing! I've currently got a '59 N / PG B combo in my 150 (thanks Chuckracer!) that I like a lot.
peteraltongreen Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Seymour Duncan '59's work a treat on my 140.Sound great to me through my Fender Concert with a 1 - 12" speaker.
davesultra Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 I have Seth Lovers in my H157, and I love em'. I've also used Duncan '59s many, many times and always have had great results. In the end my preference is going to be PAF style pickups. It all depends what YOU are looking soundwise.
mtpatty Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 I have Bill Lawrence L500-R and L500Xl in one (ebony board) and Bare Knuckle Abraxas' set in the other (rosewood board) wired for dual coil tap and reverse phase- I love them both-
