JAM Posted May 8, 2013 Author Posted May 8, 2013 I told you, I told you, I told you it would be good. But the 2x10 version is a little better, ha ha, I am biased of course, more punchy, tighter low end. Glad you are happy with it. Like I said, I told you, I told you....btw, what is Jazzfest? Yea... yea... you DID tell me... Thanks for that !! As for what's JazzFest, well if you don't know, there's no way I could adequately explain it to you except to call it an annual Big Bang for music !! see: New Orleans JazzFest Cheers! Jim
Gitfiddler Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Jim JAM~ Glad you like your new DB115. Like Slammer, I told you so!! :-) For now, don't worry about modifications. Just enjoy the amp for what it is. Out the door they are great, underrated amps.
JAM Posted May 8, 2013 Author Posted May 8, 2013 Try the stock speakers first as Gitfiddler suggested, and go from there. My years have no problems with the Blue Marvels (which I have heard are made by Eminence for Peavey). Go for it!! Found this: Blue Marvel / Classic 1238 speakers used in Classic Series & XXL Series are Made in USA by Eminence (Eminence Kentucky). Blue Marvel speakers for other series are made in China and are (to-date) manufactured for Peavey by "Unknown Source". Corporate does not disclose suppliers. Eminence (China) and/or Celestion (China) are overseas suppliers. Cheers ! Jim
