Gitfiddler Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Mmmmm!! Nice SSB 575, Brian! They are very special gitfiddles. Congratulations on your very first NEW Heritage. Play it in good health. Tim
Hfan Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Congrats Brian, nice find. I have a 150 in SSB, yours seems to have a darker vibe to it along with the black knobs and pick up rings, very cool guitar. Love the vertical grain on the back. Enjoy.
chico Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 nice score Brian, I like the description of that store you've made over the past. play it in good health.
kidsmoke Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Wow, Brian!!!! That's amazing. Congratulations. And there's no reason you can rock out with that thing. Gio's gets all snarly and full of attitude with the right amp. To Kuz's point, there is just something about the scale and set of the neck on those things that begs you to cradle her Enjoy.
tulk1 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 It just ooozes with class. What a great looking guitar. Nice addition to the stable!
Yooper Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I bet you play this more than you think you will. It's a "pluck and pick", ready in a second.
schundog Posted April 18, 2013 Author Posted April 18, 2013 Thanks everyone. I am really enjoying this beauty. The flatwound strings the dealer put on this makes me wonder why I don't put them on more of my guitars. I took the TRC off tonight to do a slight adjustment to the truss rod, only to find I don't have the right sized wrench to do the adjustment. I'll have to get to it later. I've been playing it in my chair while watching a baseball game tonight, plugged into my Fender Mustang I right next to me. While I mostly had it on the Twin Reverb setting with some delay/reverb, I wandered into grittier territory, and the 575 held it's own, without feedback, at louder volumes. That said, playing it through my Deluxe Reverb required some "creative positioning" of my body in relation to the sound coming out of the speaker, otherwise the guitar started to howl like a banshee. I'm probably just too damn loud....
FredZepp Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 I love Heritage instruments that have that old "made in Kalamazoo" look... classic instruments from that plant. That one is really a great looker in that finish. Cool of you to take it home... and even pay for it beforehand. ... Sweet axe ( you've got quite a nice Heritage collection going now. )

You might want to put on a suit or at least a tie before playing it!!
bolero Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 nice snatch!! seriously, beautiful guitar!! one of these days i will get my grubby hands on a 575 and pretend to be Steve Howe....but I would be a total disgrace

Guest HRB853370 Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 That is some seriously nice wood there B. I would say that will be a keeper (well, all of your H's are anyhow). Enjoy it in good health!

heritagefan7 Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Beautiful Schundog. SSB is such a beautiful finish and 575 is such a great git! Congrats!!!
Guitarbean Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 I love both of mine Enjoy yours. 575s are one of my favorites. They feel great in hand and you can play them unplugged just fine.
