In 1990, they made this with a 'long enough' tenon. The neck is still attached so I suppose it worked ;) Another golden year.

Are there any Golden Years for Heritage Guitars??????

Why, of course!

2007 is their most golden year.

WHY?!

Because that is the year they made this glorious 'Golden Amber' beauty just for me!! :-)

One of the finest trip 5's I've seen yet. I dig that Amber shade. Congrats Git'!

... but they don't use no stinkin' Plek machine! I heard that they even sold it. I don't think it had been operational for about 7 or 8 years.

Oh, I didn't know that. Well anyway, when Heritage did use the Plek machine, it marked the start of good fret work for Heritage. By that, I mean well shaped frets and frets that are level.

Hello,

I've been a member here for a while but haven't posted, as you can see.

I bought a custom Eagle back in the '90s from Jim Duncan of Southpaw Guitars in Houston.

Solid, carved, single piece mahogany front and back.

LOVE the guitar but the frets and nut were horrible!!

I had a complete refret and nut job done as well as a custom bridge, all done by Jim Hewett.

Now it's my favorite archtop!
