Guitarbean Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Current and delayed NGD post. The one on the left I just picked up off craigslist today for a great price. H575 custom with spruce top, ebony board and pick guard. Was owned by a local bay area jazz player and he babied it well. It may even have a premium wood package...though I do not know for sure. Very rich and complex sounds coming out this thing. In love. 12 gauge heavy man strings on this thing. The middle is Golden Eagle Custom courtesy of Martygrass (Mark). I picked this up a little bit ago and I'm not sure I'll ever part with it. Premium everything on this thing. Stunning in all aspects. 13 gauge Golden Gate Bridge cables on this one. The last one is an H575 standard I got on a trade. It belonged to BioJazz, who had up here on the HOC forum. I'd offered to trade for it but he wanted something else. Fast forward 2 weeks later and the fella he traded it to messages me about the guitar I had up and so here we are. Thing is, I found the H575 Custom on craigslist before the standard arrived, so now I'm trying to figure out if I should keep it. I'm currently in a state of flux, so if anyone is interested let me know. If I take it over to SF Guitar Works for a set up though, it's off the table. Would set up with 11s for more of a rock out guitar.
Keith7940236 Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 What a fantastic dilemma to have! Those are definitely some beauties you've got there.

Guitarbean Posted April 20, 2013 Author Posted April 20, 2013 Thanks for all the kind words guys. I'm think I'm headed over to SF Guitar Works to have that almond burst set up.
Steiner Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Wow a spruce AND maple top 575! I like the way you think...
flattop Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 The spruce top 575 is outstanding. Although all three are awesome.
bebove64 Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 +1 for H575 custom with spruce top, but 3 is the perfect number!
smokedtires Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Yes, what he said. I really need to stop looking at these before I get served divorce papers
Guitarbean Posted April 25, 2013 Author Posted April 25, 2013 Dropped off the almond burst H575 at SF Guitar Works to get pleked and set up. Books are closed on this one....for now at least My solid bodies are getting bored and lonely now.

Guitarbean Posted April 26, 2013 Author Posted April 26, 2013 Sure thing. I looked up "plek machine San Francisco" and they as well as Gary Brauer popped up. SFG had great reviews and don't take as long. I'll repot back in 2 weeks.
Guitarbean Posted June 28, 2013 Author Posted June 28, 2013 I totally forgot to mention that SF Guitarworks did an excellent job plek'ing and setting up my H575. Couldn't be happier and they were on time. They are apparently a bit more expensive vs. other plek shops outside of SF...but everything seems to cost a bit more here. Kind of annoying...but they did do a VERY good job. Plays like a dream.
