Where can I find production numbers for different years? I have An HB2 made in 1987. I wondered how many basses were made that year?

From what I can tell they never kept records like that. Usually they just give you a ball park figure.

Give them a call.

You must call the main number at Heritage Headquarters and you will most likely get a receptionist. She will transfer your call to the appropriate manufacturing plant location that produced your HB2. From there, somebody will answer (most likely another receptionist) and they will transfer your call to the Inventory Control department. From there, you will get another receptionist, who will direct your call to an inventory control accountant. That person can query the computerized accounting system with the serial number on your instrument. From that point, they can determine how many were manufactured during the time parameter you specified. The whole process should take less than an hour! Good Luck!!

Usually the answer is something like... " Hmmm... not more than a hundred, I'd say" or..... " I'd guess less than twenty"

It would be cool to find out about your bass... certainly not many of those around.
