High Flying Bird Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 We, my small circle jerk of friends, were talking about how gaudy off colored guitars were but that some how Heritage made it work. I was in a local shop trying out an amp and the guy brought me a blue Gibson 335. I felt like I was feeling up a cheap strip dancer... well, how I would imagine that to be. This guitar is very purty!
Millennium Maestro Posted August 18, 2008 Author Posted August 18, 2008 I posted pics of my Orange Crusher on this link .... Enjoy http://www.heritageownersclub.com/forums/i...pic,2194.0.html
High Flying Bird Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Just messed with you on that thread. It is a looker as well.
Dick Seacup Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 The only blue guitar I've ever owned was a Peavey Cropper Classic. The direct sunlight (at high noon) makes it look way brighter than it was in person. In reality, the finish was very dark and you really had to look to see the figure in the wood. Peavey called the color "Rhythm Blue": While it was a very well built guitar that was capable of some interesting tones, I don't feel so bad about selling that one on. The buyer was (allegedly) a huge Steve Cropper fan and lived in Germany. Solid, but not quite a Heritage, although I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. While Peavey gear is pretty "plain vanilla," it also "just works" in my experience.
JohnCovach Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Could we please direct discussion back to the cheap stripper?
tulk1 Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Could we please direct discussion back to the cheap stripper? These look fairly cheap.

Dick Seacup Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 Here's my submission. Please forgive me! I had this before I knew about the HOC! Nothing to apologize for...that is a sweet looking guitar. The local mom and pop shop had one of those with the flame-orangy looking finish (dark at the bottom to yellow at the tips of the horns) that I lusted after for a while.
