totonka Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Brent - that sounded great! I was kinda hoping for a utube video so I could see you in some knee hi tube socks, a red wings jersey and a watch cap!
tsp17 Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 its 25.5....you're saved...LMAO Whew, that was a close one!
brentrocks Posted April 26, 2013 Author Posted April 26, 2013 Thanks Victor! Brent - that sounded great! I was kinda hoping for a utube video so I could see you in some knee hi tube socks, a red wings jersey and a watch cap!
tulk1 Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Nice tone on that monster. Think the tortex pick had a better acoustic thing going on than the ... red (?) thing. Or you seemed to use it better, anyway.
DavesNotHere Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 A little late to the party, but day'um that's nice.
gpuma Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 don't mean to be a party pooper because the 475 sounds great... but that J50 clip you have right below sounds just incredible!!! What a rich, creamy, focused yet boomy sound! Likely one of the nicest tone I have ever heard on a dreadnought.

The problem is I don't thank Brent has held onto anything longer than 20 days let alone 20 years.
Stringman Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Back about 15 years ago I had my hands on an HFT475 at Smith Music in Portland, MI. Actually had it and another guitar bought from Milt Smith on the same day until my wife had an "opinion" on the deal and I had to let the Acoustic go. It was eventually purchased by one of two brothers from the Portland area that had several Heritage guitars. Unfortunately, I saw the same guitar a couple of years later and it had fallen or somehow received a nice big gash in the top (I believe). The second time I saw it was at the Detroit Guitar Show and passed on it again, mostly because of the damage. Nice guitar. Best of luck with your new one.
flattop Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 That is an unbelievable guitar. Love the carved back. Great find, congrats. I would love to be able to find one like that.
