Do you mean Seymour Duncan pulled you back in? If so, that's kind of how I felt:) And they replaced the stock Pearly Gates pickups which alot

of people seem to like but really didn't do it for me.

as a side note... I also was impressed with the Slash pickup that they are doing, and believe me I'm no Slash fan! But I heard a set of those in a cheap Epiphone Dot studio, and I couldn't believe my ears when I heard that combination. It was like a rock and roll Funny Car! A $250 guitar with $180 set of pickups, a fret dress, and some new Dimarzio custom taper pots and RS Jenson Cap, it redifined the term "cheap thrills"! I plugged this guitar into my TopHat Club Deluxe and notes were jumping right off the top of the guitar. A lot of expensive ES335 guitar owners would walk away in shame after hearing this! I played every blues and rock lick I knew until I was exhausted!!!

Lol Yep, just when I thought I had finally made up my mind here comes another set of pups that sound great... Freedom of choice is not without it's burdens. Interesting about the Slash pups, I never really even thought about those and I AM a Slash fan. I was going to wait to order the pups until I placed my order with Heritage but I think I might be doing it sooner than later and putting them in my Godin in the mean time.

Well good luck on your final decision and let us know how it works out!

By the way, the Epiphone Dot with the Slash pickups wasn't mine, but belonged to a friend who kept on raving about it, and I thought he was nuts or tone deaf, until I plugged it in that is:)

Did you take this picture with a mirror?

I thought your guitars would be left-handed.

He took my advice and decided to correct his playing technique.

Hi and welcome. What ever you decide, once you have played a nice 150 for an hour, you won't want a Gibson. I always wanted a 335, but the prices were going up faster than I could save up for one, then I found a Heritage 555 and it leaves today's 335's standing in the shadows. You won't be disappointed.
