vdanger Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Hello to all. My name is vance and I've kind of been lurking on this forum for the past few weeks trying to learn more about Heritage guitars. I was originally interested in purchasing a Gibson 339 but someone told me to check out the Heritage Prospect. This past Wednesday I travelled to Kalamazoo to take a tour of the Heritage factory. Talk about old school! It was very interesting and I really liked the hand craftsmanship. Anyway, today I pulled the trigger on a Heritage Prospect from Wolfe Guitar. Attached is a pic (this is the actual guitar). I should get it next Wednesday. I'm really excited.
skydog52 Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Welcome aboard. You picked a nice one to start off with! Love it and Congratulations.
Horace Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 That's the way to do it ! Go the the source. Scratch around. If you like what you see and hear, you're not likely to go wrong with the buy. It's a beautiful guitar. You're a lucky one.
H Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Ah, the start of your Heritage collection Welcome to the HOC
High Flying Bird Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Ah, the start of your Heritage collection Welcome to the HOC Poor guy, now he needs at least 2 more. Welcome to the HOC.
Billgelder Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Welcome to HOC. I played that guitar the last time I was at Jay's. It is a great guitar and the top looks even better in-person.
DetroitBlues Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Welcome to the HOC! You picked a fine specimen from the mad hatter labs of the creators, of which we lovingly refer to as The Heritage Factory. What a great way to introduce yourself to Heritage and to our "collective" ( as sir Steiner puts it). One one problem here, once you buy a Heritage, you'll never find a better alternate! Congrats, let us know what you think when you get her in...

Bill, you've played this guitar? How did it sound? Anything you can tell me about it? That's one thing about buying a guitar over the phone, you don't get to play it so you are just crossing your fingers and hoping it will be a good one.
golferwave Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 A fantastic looking Heritage! Enjoy your new axe and welcome to the HOC!
Guest HRB853370 Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Wow that is just stunning. You got me wanting a Prospect now. I have a 155 and I will gladly trade it for a Prospect. Welcome and enjoy that beauty!

I was there last week to talk to him about a custom build I'm working on. I saw your guitar on the Heritage wall and asked if I could check it out. It has a killer top and Sounded great. You will be very happy with the Prospect.
Billgelder Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 I just remembered it had Seth Lovers in it, He had two that were about the same but yours had the nicer top.
