Number8 Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 - Trans Cherry - Ebony fret board - Mini Block inlays - Ebony PG Wich Pick Up? Yours? For obvious reasons, the guitar you described should have dot inlays. The pickups should be SD 59s or Seth Lovers. Possibly one of each.
gpuma Posted May 15, 2013 Author Posted May 15, 2013 For obvious reasons, the guitar you described should have dot inlays. The pickups should be SD 59s or Seth Lovers. Possibly one of each. Dot inlays on ebony board? Resounding No. Either blocks or none

Guest HRB853370 Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 the enjoyment of fulfilling a dream is also in the working for it. That's my theory I meant, me being broke Gio, not you. Had to clarify! Frankly, if somebody gave me $3000 today and said you MUST order a new Heritage or you must give the money back. I really don't have anything in my mind right now that I would dream about ordering. I would probably order the Heritage then list it for sale on this forum. To sum it up, when it comes to Heritage guitars, I have "an embarrassment of riches" already, which makes me GAS FREE! Who originally quoted that now, was it Yoslate or Smurph?

TalismanRich Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 The first "guitar lust" I had as a kid was for a red semi. I've got that one covered. The second was for a natural semi, at the time it was a Guild Starfire. That's where I would go. For my ultimate build it would have5 piece maple neck Med C profile Flamed natural finish Ebony board with split inlays Bound ebony pickguard Bound headstock with MOP logo and diamond Kluson tuners Bone nut Faber locking bridge Stainless steel frets Lollar imperials

yoslate Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 I'll take the road less traveled, here. The dream turned out not to be about a wish list, for me. I wasn't even looking for a 535. And for the scores of guitars I've owned, I'd never owned a 335-type instrument. One Saturday afternoon, happened into a shop, owned by some pals. By coincidence, a local player of note, who flips more guitars than...Brent, was in there with a 535. They all know I'm a Heritage advocate, and wanted the skinny. I began the pitch, as Michael handed me the 535. I stopped talking. Played it for well less than a minute. Put the hard eye on the neck and board, joints and seams, and finish for another minute: "Sold!" Didn't even ask the price. Stock 535, Antique Sunburst, pair of Seths. Simply the best musical instrument I've ever owned, and one of the five best I've ever played. Dream come true....

And your sig has changed to a single 150?? Que significado? I'll take the road less traveled, here. The dream turned out not to be about a wish list, for me. I wasn't even looking for a 535. Great story....all the hemmin' and hawin' we do "in search of" ....this is how the great loves in our lives usually appear, I do believe.
