Since I'm on a wiring kick...

I did a Peter Green mod the easy way, here's how...if you have 4 wire conductors...

On your neck pickup volume pot, you'll see one wire going to one of the lugs from the neck pickup wire harness.

There should also be 2 wires going to the ground on the same pot, one colored, and one stripped bare.

Just swap the positions of the coated wires! (Keep the bare wire where it is, grounded on the back of the pot.)

The neck & bridge positions will be exactly the same.

The middle position will give you a funky, hollow sound. With both vols on 10, its very pronounced. Drop either volume (one at a time) to around 8 or 9, and you get the coolest sound, very Jimmy Page/Peter Green.

Easily reversible, and no need to disassemble the pickup and flip magnets around.

You don't even have to rotate the neck pickup 180 degrees either, but it looks cool.

You can do it with 2 conductor pickups also, you just have to make sure the metal shielding doesn't come in contact with other metal in there, so some heat shrink tubing would be a good idea.

I freakin' love it! Way cooler than the bubbly middle position any day. More versatile.
