chico Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 that's a damn good question and I don't think I've ever seen it posed here. that said, this is the UNOFFICIAL site of Heritage, so my .02 would be to make a call there to the factory, best time is AM Eastern time around 9-915.
Blunote Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 Ely, if you get impatient and start making changes, you put Heritage in a position to have to accept and warrant the changes. I don't know that it's fair to do that to them and they could void your warranty. Even so, they're not going to void your warranty for doing a setup or general maintenance. But if you suspect you have issues, you really need to refrain from doing much with the guitar until after you've discussed it with your dealer. Officially, you should contact your dealer. That will likely cause delay getting answers and resolving problems you might have, but it's the official, formal way to go about it. Or, you can talk to someone at the factory and get some guidance. And since it isn't practical for you to return to a dealer in the US with a guitar you now have in Ireland, I'd just call the Heritage directly. Just do so before you have any work done on the instrument. That way, if there's a luthier or dealer Heritage has a relationship with in your area, they can send you there, Or, perhaps the issue you have is known to them and they can quickly tell you how to rectify it. Either way, your first step should be to call them.
ely Posted May 23, 2013 Author Posted May 23, 2013 good advice bluenote, ive made contact with heritage, I'm sure they'll be cool and it will be worked out in the end. Ely
