DaveRobrecht Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 After 6 long months I finally got my custom hollow Prospect today. It has a deeper body, trapeze tailpiece, Tone Pros bridge and Lollar 50's wind P-90's. It is freakin' awesome! It's light and plays like butter. Really. http://www.flickr.com/photos/bluefireamps/8907264886/
Keith7940236 Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 That is a sweet guitar, I'm sure that it was worth the wait!
yoslate Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Nice, indeed...on the Prospect!! And I spooled through your pics. What's up with the amps!? Mein got! Backstory, please...?
Billgelder Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 I saw your guitar last week at Wolfe guitars. It looks even better in-person. I was wondering who ordered it. enjoy the Prospect!
DaveRobrecht Posted June 1, 2013 Author Posted June 1, 2013 Thanks everyone! The finish is antique natural. yoslate, I build the Blue Fire amps. A few local guys are using them and I've sold a couple through Cream City Music in town here. I just made a custom one for Greg Koch. He let Joe Bonamassa play it when he was in town and Joe asked "how much".

Well, many congrats on the Prospect, and welcome to the club; and I'd say that's mighty high praise, be it from the Gristleman or Bonamassa on your amps! If they sound half as good as they look, you've got a hot commodity, brutha!!! Stick around, we have some fun here on the HOC!!
SouthpawGuy Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Congrats ! A deeper body Prospect, what's the rim size on it now ?
tulk1 Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 The Prospect is my favorite Heritage guitar. And yours is stunning. And hollow? That should be interesting. And an amp builder, too? Yeah, baby!
Kuz Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Wow, it's like a mini-525!!!! Love the idea, and I bet it's killer!!!

I have a good friend who builds all of Greg Germino's cabinets, and built cabs for Bob Reinhardt, before he went back to engines. Does a lot of custom work and vintage restoration, too. Your stuff reminds me of a lot of his work. Your Prospect is a honey! Hope you'll hang out here; it's a good spot!
DaveRobrecht Posted June 1, 2013 Author Posted June 1, 2013 Thanks very much for all the nice comments on the guitar and amps! The rim thickness is 1+3/4" and it is all hollow. I wanted a smaller ES-330/Casino type guitar and this thing delivers! Here's a picture of JB playing Greg's amp at sound check.
DaveRobrecht Posted June 1, 2013 Author Posted June 1, 2013 yoslate, if you wouldn't mind, could you PM or email me your friends name/business. I can always use more contacts and would like to farm out my cabs if it's feasible. Thanks.
