Recognize this eagle

I recently got this 1996 Eagle off of eBay and it looks like it has had some alterations. < wooden fingerrest, thumbwheels, Kent Armstrong P90, generic tailpiece> I am assuming the original tailpiece broke off and did some damage.

 

Does anybody recognize this guitar. I am curious as to its history. I know all the 'what' facts, like the wood, dimensions and the style pup, but I do not know the 'why'.

 

I am also considering bringing it back to stock but not too sure if I should suffer the expense. I would welcome any opinions.
