bolero Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 this is my very first Heritage, I still consider it my #1 I finally got a decent photo of it, from a friend of mine...I love how they lined both pieces of the top up, so the grain carries across...almost like a river of tone
rockabilly69 Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 That's a fine looking axe. Form that angle the bridge seems quite high! You also have your bridge pickup set up to be closer to the bass strings, which I've never seen before. Mine is the exact opposite of that, or is that a photographic illusion?
kidsmoke Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 As unique as ..... a warm sunny day in Ontario! Beauty, Bolero. And top wrapped as it should be!
golferwave Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 That's a real beauty and from the picture it has that nicely aged look!
bolero Posted June 10, 2013 Author Posted June 10, 2013 Hmm that setup does look kind of funky I'll check that out! I haven't actually played it in a while I've been distracted by the 535 & 357

Guest HRB853370 Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 What year is it Chris and is that antique cherry burst (clownburst)? My first Heritage girl is a 2000 ACB and I still LOVE HER!
bolero Posted June 10, 2013 Author Posted June 10, 2013 that's a nice one Will!! here's another of mine, by request...it's a '94 cherry burst I believe the photographer cranked up the saturation a bit, as it looks a bit more orange in the photo than the actual color...it's almost identical to yours Will
Spectrum13 Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 You need to spank that plank some Chris. The 535 and 357 will still be around when you are done. What about the Hog Black Beauty?
FredZepp Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Nice second pic , Chris. I'm kind of the same way about my first Heritage.... It's hard to beat.
gpuma Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 oh yeah!! I love those mineral streaks!! Did someone mention mineral streaks?
Trouble Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 this is my very first Heritage, I still consider it my #1 I finally got a decent photo of it, from a friend of mine...I love how they lined both pieces of the top up, so the grain carries across...almost like a river of tone Some of the saddles are reversed too, intonation problems? This thread makes me want a clownburst. A buddy of mine had an Earvana nut installed on a Epi LP, I flipped the saddle but never got the low E intonated.
bolero Posted June 18, 2013 Author Posted June 18, 2013 Did someone mention mineral streaks? -->that is off the charts!! beautiful!! Trouble I put an ABR-1 on there instead of the roller bridge, it intonates but I had to flip the low E & G saddles to pull them back far enough...looks like I flipped the D as well?? have to stop drinking beer when I work on gtrs
smaj Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Very nice axe, and top wrap is but a myth, if someone played one that way and you could not see them, versus normal, you could never tell the difference. I've proved it many times at the store.
bolero Posted July 17, 2013 Author Posted July 17, 2013 aha, photographer sent me a better image, this is closer to the actual colour!!
