Niles Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 I like the sound of the original wooden bridge but I want to set it up for blues with a heavy plain 3rd string and the original bridge will not intonate the 3rd string properly. Without getting into the "cork sniffer" catagory, where can I order a good tuneomatic with wooden base? Are the ones from Stewart MacDonald any good? Another thing... How do I post pics on this forum and the buy and sell?
big bob Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 you can order a heritage tom with rosewood or ebony support through any heritage dealer, I dont know about the stewmac tom archtop bridges but do know that stewmac sells an EXCEPTIONAL bone bridge for archtop. CALL a heritage dealer and get what YOU want, it's worth the wait.. Bob
Niles Posted August 28, 2008 Author Posted August 28, 2008 I called Wolfe Guitars and was basically referred to Allparts. He never offered to get one from Heritage for me.

Niles Posted August 28, 2008 Author Posted August 28, 2008 Found a Gibson ABR1 w/base for 50 bucks at Sweetwater. Thanks
Niles Posted August 28, 2008 Author Posted August 28, 2008 Placed the order online this AM, got a call this PM from Sweetwater and they don't stock the part (missleading website) 4 to 6 weeks. I cancelled the order SOOOO, I still need the bridge. Will the Heritage TOM top fit the stock base that I have or is the spacing the same as all the aftermarket replacements?
