squawken Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Well since Joe B signed my pickguard, it kind of rendered it useless. So I decided to play and get cream parts to give it a makeover. Here are pics, before and after. What ya think?
FredZepp Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 It's amazing how it changes the look, just switching the plastic. Either way looks great, but it has more of a Heritage vibe now... and that is very cool.
Gitfiddler Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Nicely done. I always thought that the black accents were fighting with the gold. Creme works on that git.
bolero Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 looks good! I always preferred cream on a goltop....like Gitfiddler says, it matches the trim better IMO
squawken Posted July 13, 2013 Author Posted July 13, 2013 Thanks everyone for input and compliments! I may play a little more and get a G style cream pickguard. The tinkering never stops
tbonesullivan Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 100% improvement. IT just didn't look right as it was. now it looks spectacular.
SouthpawGuy Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 I actually liked it with the black guard and pickup rings as well.
shook494 Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 I did the exact same thing to my 157. I love the cream accents. Nice change.
212Mavguy Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 It's too perfect and new. Needs a bit of gig rash. Gorgeous!
