MickeyD714 Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 My local guitar shop has an H 110 in near perfect shape for $2000. The serial number starts with a Z. It has one of the nicest finishes I have ever seen: Vintage wine burst. I have never priced a 110 before. Is $2000 a fair deal ? Heritage H-110 Guitar Specs:Neck - 17 degree peghead pitch; one piece mahogany neck.Fingerboard - 24 3/4” scale rosewood cream bound fingerboard with 22 frets, with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. Radius is 12".Nut width is 1-11/16".Body - Double cutaway solid body solid carved ultra curly maple top and solid mahogany back, cream bound.... HANGAR18 Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 The 110's don't come around very often and it is a decent savings on what one would cost you new. If you like it and intend on keeping it for a long time, I feel safe in saying that yea, it's worth it. It's a premium price, but heck, it's only money. Go for it!
big bob Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Retail is over 3k There is one on ebay for 12k Bananas at large has a new one for 2369.00 http://www.bananasmusic.com/productdetail.asp/pid_15263/productname_Heritage-H-110-With-SD-Pickups
golferwave Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 I'd say it's in the ballpark. I asked a friend of mine who's a Heritage dealer about a year ago how much I could get an H-110 for and he said $2,100 to $2,200 and he always gives me a great deal. Offer them a little less and see what they say. Be sure to let us know if you snag it.
skydog52 Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Nice color. Go for it. Decent price and if you like it, it's worth it.
gpuma Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 I would negotiate a bit. I mean if you can get it new for 360 more then buy it new from bananas at large or use that data point to leverage a discount
SouthpawGuy Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 A "Z" prefix makes that a 2009 guitar. Bear in mind that you could order a new one to your exact preferences. If there wasn't much difference in cost I'd opt for a new one to my specs.

As far as I can recall 110s have two volumes and a master tone.
MickeyD714 Posted July 18, 2013 Author Posted July 18, 2013 Those specs were posted on the shop's web site. They are incorrect.
SouthpawGuy Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Those specs were posted on the shop's web site. They are incorrect. They also have the 110 listed as a solid body when it's actually a semi solid. Probably cut and pasted the specs from another Heritage model
HANGAR18 Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 They also have the 110 listed as a solid body when it's actually a semi solid. Probably cut and pasted the specs from another Heritage model I'm sure that's what they did. A 110 is on my radar to get one day but I think I would be more inclined to special order one so I can choose the weight and specify which knobs I want and where I want them. Might be a while before I get one.

Probably cut and pasted the specs from another Heritage model When I was spec'ing out my MIlie DC NFH Marv kept trying to talk me into the H110. He told me it could be solid or semi-solid, whichever I preferred. So, it's possible it's a 110 solid.

I see, no mention of a solid body version of the 110 on the Heritage site .... but that's not surprising.

I'm working with him right now on a custom. I've picked the woods but I haven't yet decided on a final body style. We've talked 150s, 170s and Millies but he hasn't mentioned the 110. I hadn't thought about it either until I saw this thread. I'll be speaking to him tomorrow, but inquiring minds want to know....

Someone at PSP5 had a solid body 110 with the knobs and toggle switch wired and located differently than stock.
SouthpawGuy Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 Someone at PSP5 had a solid body 110 with the knobs and toggle switch wired and located differently than stock. I think that was an employee build ? With no fret markers, ebony board ?

Genericmusic Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 Yep, that right there could make me a solid body man.
High Flying Bird Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 Yep, that right there could make me a solid body man. I was taking photos of it because he wanted to sell it.
SouthpawGuy Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 It must have been the one Chris had with him. That's it. Looks like Grover Imperial tuners. Vintage wine burst maybe, with matching headstock.
