heritagefan7 Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 This was new to me---and a great price...any idea abt the pups? http://www.gbase.com/gear/heritage-h-207dd-1987-sunburst-1#
DetroitBlues Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Price is great, jump on it! Unfortunately it is really rare and I've never read much about them.
FredZepp Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 interesting that they list "25 1/4" scale" Looks like original Schaller pickups
H Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 It's a diving duck!! These things are worth an absolute fortune according to a guy on eBay
SouthpawGuy Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Great price. The only thing that would put me off is the switching. I'm guessing each p'up has an on / off switch with a fourth switch to split the humbucker.
High Flying Bird Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 DD! Steiner! Rob - and you an educated man......
SofaPlayer Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 That guitar is ubercool and the price is unreal! I'd miss the case though.
SouthpawGuy Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Its so cool that they discontinued it! Due to popular demand.
koula901 Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 That looks like a real good deal. Someone should snatch up that double D quick!
davesultra Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 I'd jump on it, but the position of the strap button would most likely make the playing position too uncomfortable for me. I think it would push the neck too far out. It'd kill my wrist & shoulder.
SouthpawGuy Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 The strap button is in the same position as on my '86 H-170 ( same body shape with different headstock and pickup layout). Can't say it's hard on the fretting hand or shoulder at all. It weighs 7.4lbs
davesultra Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 The strap button is in the same position as on my '86 H-170 ( same body shape with different headstock and pickup layout). Can't say it's hard on the fretting hand or shoulder at all. It weighs 7.4lbs I guess what I mean is when it's hanging from the strap, the first fret would be further out. I had an SG junior that did that, and it made my wrist hurt from the odd hand positioning (yeah, I know that sounds a bit risqué) . Still, it is tempting.
mark555 Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 what else is there of that build quality for that money? Not my cup of teac, but it's always good to have something that is very uncommon.
Dell18 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Oh man. That is a killer price. 90% off eBay prices and the week I buy a quad of EL34's, 12ax7s, an amp that's gonna need repair and a (not in my hands yet) 555. Next year I'm preparing for PSP wheeling and dealing month.
