Let me help by noting that is why you need more than one guitar....for the ultimate in versatility, keep buying guitars until you closet is clogged.....

 

so,,,.if you get a laminated top, you will have less inclination to feed back. and if you go one step further, you can get a favorite of mine: A Roy Clark - built like a 535 - with a block behind the pick ups....another effort to limit feed back. It all works pretty well.

What I've heard from people that have owned both the Groovemaster and H575 is that a fan of one will likely be a fan of the other. Different sure but have something about them that appeals to the fans of each guitar. That's what I've heard anyways. Despite it being a laminate, I've heard that the body resonates very well and is on par with the 575. Again, don't know this first hand. .. yet.

 

I've played a 550 and, while nice, just want my cup of tea... and I'm Southern so you know I'm particular about my tea.
