Got this guitar a couple of months ago but decided to wait until the honeymoon phase was over to make this post. My first impressions were it looked great, played great, and sounded really good. It came with SD 59's in it and they sounded really good, but they got swapped for a set of Zhangbuckers I had lying around.

As I said the Duncans sounded good but the Zhangs sound great; clarity and pick sensitivity are a step above.

It's a great guitar and was lucky to get it.

Thanks to Brent for deciding to let this one go and for a smooth transaction. Also, thanks to forum member BillGelder for finding this guitar and soldering in these new pickups and caps. Two great guys.

Nice one... welcome to the 150 VSB Club also. ( VSB is a popular finish )

That looks to be a very fine instrument and it sounds like you have found some pickups that fit your playing.

( I also think that the '59's do a pretty good job )

That's what I was going to say. VSB guitars like that are really great looking. I think everyone ought to have at least one vintage sunburst.

Hey John, the photos came out great, but it still looks better in person. Glad you like the new pickups, caps and 50's style wiring.
