skbaily Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Has anyone had any luck getting Heritage to verify the history of a specific instrument? I contacted them several weeks ago via email, explaining what I understood to be the history of an early JS model I have. I am hoping they can verify that it did in fact go from their factory directly to the original owner. I never heard a word back from them. I don't want to nag them about it, but on the other hand it really would help to document the history of this instrument and insure it appropriately. Perhaps there is someone in particular I could speak with that could help? Any advice would be appreciated. I suppose what I should really do is plan a road trip to next year's PSP and keep asking Heritage employees until someone breaks down and tells me what I want to know ;-) Thanks in advance -
SouthpawGuy Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 As far as I'm aware a guitar would still have to be ordered by a dealer. Is there any paperwork with the guitar to indicate through which dealer it was ordered ?
skbaily Posted August 4, 2013 Author Posted August 4, 2013 Right - that's how it typically goes. However, this one was actually a first production run of a "signature" model, sent to the artist (either out of appreciation or as part of the contract, I'm not sure). No paperwork that I'm aware of
