I received this last Tuesday.

H550 with the following options:

2.25 " rim

Antique Natural

59 neck

Upgraded top and back.

Cool. Don't think I've ever seen a 550 with a mahogany neck before. Given the number of Heritage custom orders that exist, it's probably not safe to call anything unique, but, that's a very interesting feature.

Mahogany necks are the standard for this model now.

Thanks for the info (and sorry for uninformed post,) Shows how many newer Heritage guitars I get to see up here on the tundra. I knew the 550 went from maple to mahog, but didn't know this was also the case with the 550.

I was surprised too. There is no mention of on the website.

I checked the Wolfe site out of curiosity, and he has a 2011 550 listed (sold) with a mahog neck --so, I guess the transition was not so recent. (and my post should have said" I knew 555 ...

 

Congrats on the guitar. My 550 was my first Heritage; always been partial to the model as a very functional (and beautiful) jazz guitar.

Thanks for the congrats.

 

I've always wanted a thinline jazz box but didn't want the short scale and narrow neck of a Byrdland.
