brentrocks Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I finally got around to installing the truss rod cover Steiner made for me....I put it on my 535 THANKS GREG!!!
Steiner Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Those were tough to make. I kept scraps of outstanding woods (grain / colors) throughout the year. Around the anual pilgrmage I sanded them down to about 0.10" and sent them off for etching. We had a LONG talk when they came back 180 degrees from how I specified. SPG - do you need an H-150 TRC? If you put it out in the sun it will turn a nice shade of brown; indirect sunlight light works too. I love the natural, aged color of cherry wood. Working the wood that thin took out most of the curl. I was hoping that the lacquer and time would bring it back. They're still pretty, a little curl would make them unique. I'm glad you're happy BR. After all you've done to put on the PSPs, it's nice to (in some small way) return the favor.
