Genericmusic Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Love that lefty 555 Shouldn't that go in the "lefty thread"?
SouthpawGuy Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Shouldn't that go in the "lefty thread"? Ha ! Notice how Ren is holding that pen in his left hand. Maybe he writes left handed. Or lefties are secretly taking over
schundog Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Good article; Thanks Victor! I think she is confusing our REN with his father, REM Wall, another former Gibson employee who had the radio show. Not to take anything away from Ren's guitar and bass abilities, mind you, I just think she's thinking of Rem's show. Here's an old video of Rem and Ren playing together. I love it!!

I think you are both technically right. Ren played with his father on that show for many years.
pegleg32 Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 I can't help but notice the headstocks in the vid above. That would have been several years before Heritage started up wouldn't it?
schundog Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Rem died in 1994. I didn't see when the video was done.

I can't help but notice the headstocks in the vid above. That would have been several years before Heritage started up wouldn't it? Interesting since Ren looks to be around 30 years old there. But they are clearly Heritage headstocks. http://www.hillbilly-music.com/artists/story/index.php?id=12681
Guest HRB853370 Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 From the Michiganfiddle.com, here was the lineup. Rendall Wall played drums too! Rem Wall and the Green Valley Boys were a Michigan-based classic country band who performed on TV and Radio for decades. Generations grew up with these icons. The band's personnel included the following: Rem Wall - vocal & rhythm guitar. Jimmy Bradford - fiddle. Hubie Friar - bass Howie Quibell - steel guitar Billy Vann - lead guitar Rendal Wall - drums
