MartyGrass Posted August 21, 2013 Author Posted August 21, 2013 Here are the abalone side fretboard markers and the fretboard inlays. Some of these shots are yellowish. The real color is the USA inlay.
MartyGrass Posted August 21, 2013 Author Posted August 21, 2013 Last one. The guitar is on the bright side. I restrung it with D'Addario 13-56 flatwounds to get a little more depth to the tones.
Guitarbean Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 You have an heirloom on your hands...I know an owner of another here in the Bay Area.
Keith7940236 Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 I didn't realize that those inlays were so detailed! Very cool guitar!
TalismanRich Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Wow.... missed this thread somehow. Serious cool inlay work. I wonder if Bryan Englands Custom Inlay did the work. I understand they do work for Heritage. He does a lot of banjo and mandolin work. I think he started out doing work for Sullivan Banjos in Louisville many years ago. Someday, I'll have to take a ride down to that place. Caneyville Ky is about 40 miles from where I work.
