tcp120 Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Make the World Go Away/Dance with Me (David Paul) Check out these songs in a medley David Paul has done in the past but has not yet been seen or heard. Listen to the sound he gets with his Heritage guitar by using two elevator shafts connecting to the center sound block underneath the pickups! It gives it a more wood grainier sound as David says something in between a Gibson and a Gretsch with more sustain. Hes hoping to incorporate the same principle that he has had with his Heritage. To be used in his new signature model, the one draw back is that it makes the guitar very heavy! The Heritage guitar was close to 16 pounds total! I hope that this answers some more of your questions and gives you a good audio example of the difference in this medley of "Make the World Go Away" & "Dance with Me". David is joined by Chris Bovard on the guitar & Dick Adams on the sax. Let me know what you think regarding the sound & if you like it! Gitfiddler Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Beautiful playing. Chord melody ala Chet Atkins, is a very challenging guitar style, mastered by few. David has it going on. Nice that another Heritage artist, Chris Bovard joined him on the CD.
bolero Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 that is interesting, I have heard the blue guitar is very heavy ( Martygrass? ) & this gives us a clue why: "two elevator shafts connecting to the center sound block underneath the pickups" very tasty playing by Mr Bovaird as well!! I really liked his intro stuff on #1 thx tcp
