y2kc Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 I know this is useless without a photo so use your imaginations. This is a guitar I picked up off ebay several months ago. You remember, it is butt ugly, black and marked as a 2nd or whatever on the head. This guitar is a blast. Feather light and perfectly balanced with a sound all it's own. The coil splitting switches offer variation but the tone throughout remains thick and meaty. My H-140 can deliver more bite in the bridge position but the h-125 is close. The h-125's body is very similar to the new "no name" model heritage announced a while back. Kinda ugly but that is quickly forgotten as soon as I start playing it. The guitar is comfortable and robustly musical. So far I have played this through my fender 1970ish vibro-champ and my sovtec mig-50 with a 2-12 cab. The only pedal I have used with it is a Fulltone Full-drive II. Big nasty sounds with both amps and I feel I have just scratched the surface. This guitar was a surprise. I was interested in it because it was different but have come to realize that it is just a really good guitar. I dig these heritage guitars!
yoslate Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 ...robustly musical. I dig this characterization! Very apt for Heritage guitars! Welcome to the fold y2kc. Looking forward to further reports....
