bolero Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 this weekend I slapped a drum loop into garageband & tried to record something...I did it to record the Melodybird Firebird replica & a couple amps, but the track ended up sounding mellow & jazzy so I tried the H575 out warning:I can't play jazz....and the backing track is basic, kind of redundant, and repetitive. so you'll have to suffer thru some generic bluesy wanking gear used: '71 MKI Fender Rhodes keyboard old Leslie rotating speaker cab clean guitar: Heritage H575 loaded with bareknuckle P90's-->vintage Garnet tube amp G&L SB-1 bass "Dead Horse" Traynor YBA-1 8x10 bass amp rhythm gtr: OD Melodybird Firebird replica-->SF super reverb fuzzy middle section: OD Melodybird Firebird replica loaded with SD '59's-->Viva Analog Rangemistress-->CM delayla-->Vox AC4TV that's an impressive list of crap, but don't get your hopes up close mic was a CAD E-100, I also had a Rode NT4 room mic but garageband kept summing the stereo track to mono for some dumb reason. AKG D114 on the bass amp. -->this is my first attempt to play/record on the fender rhodes I scored recently...I can't play keyboard at all....on the right & left channels I had it going thru the rotating leslie to try & add some space I like the sound of the P90's in the H575 though https://soundcloud.com/roofleaks/h575-jammer
rockabilly69 Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Is that one of those Jack Baruth Firebirds?
DetroitBlues Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 I think Jack posted a few pic's of your guitar on his blog page...
H Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Nice groove I like the drum loop, did you create that in GarageBand or import it from elsewhere?
DetroitBlues Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Lead sounded a lot like Smokstack Lightining on hotter and better. Cool stuff Chris!
bolero Posted August 28, 2013 Author Posted August 28, 2013 you know what I have no idea where I got that loop...don't have any extra libraries for garageband extra points for anyone who can pick out the other licks I ripped off yep that's the gtr I had at PSPVI...it's awesome!!
