Install Tele pickups and a Floyd Rose on it. You may not play it any more often but it will keep you busy. for a while.

You can't expect any thoughtful advice on parting with a Heritage on this forum. There is a tinge of bias here.

Years ago I worked at the counter at a liquor store as the new hire. This man in his 50s put a bottle of whiskey down in front of me and said he has a dilemma. With the boss standing next to me, the man went on to say he really wants the whiskey but would have no money for milk to bring home to his children. Which should he get? All eyes were on me for a response.

I suggested he buy the whiskey and drink it. It will help him cope with the cries of his hungry kids.

That answer seemed to make both men happy, and I kept my job.

When the man left with the whiskey, my boss told me that this guy is a steady customer who has plenty of money and no kids left at home. He was just being an ass.

The point is that you don't ask someone selling something whether you should buy it. And you don't ask the HOC whether you should get rid of a beloved Heritage. You'll just as likely hear from them that you should buy another closet queen to keep it company. :icon_cheese:

As the culprit that constantly reminded you of "excess" inventory, I'll leave it at this....

I only gave you crud about it because I vainly attempted to sway you into selling your 535 to me, to which you did out of necessity to purchase another fine instrument.

If you don't need to sell the 555, then don't. Its better to have options you won't need, then to need options you don't have.

Honestly Will, there is nothing wrong with owning a collection of guitars. There are many on here with much more than you, just as there are many on here that have much less. Nothing wrong with either way.

Keep your guitars, even if you only look at them, they still put a smile on your face when you see them. That's worth it to me.

Don't feel guilty, feel proud you have such fine examples of American craftsmanship.

I'll say no more.

Whew, closed case!! No more shit stirring Paul, I promise!

My 555 is in regular rotation, I've been playing the hollow/semi hollows almost exclusively with the band for at least the last three weeks.

As I see it, the problem is the guitar needs attention. How about I hold onto it for a while, restring it, set it up, and I play it with tender loving care at no charge to you. Nothing but shared joy all around. I'll even record an original song with it, dedicated to the kind and generous owner. We can call the tune "Slammer Jammer". May we could go so far as to pass it around and make an entire album with it. That way it would be remembered for posterity.

Or I'll win the lotto and buy it tomorrow. :icon_joker:

Geee.. I'm feeling left out. I come down to the house and you keep some of the best looking girls back in the back for your self. Where's the sharing attitude?

As for being a mild poop agitator.... :pottytrain4:

Free to the buyer and a 50% discount on the sale price, I've heard.

Suprised no one came up with the perfect solution. Put it on Ebay and put in the highest bid. So you sell it and still have it.

Thank me latter.

Will, I recommend you to make a desision and then change your desision and then change your desision only to change you desision again and decide to KEEP the guitar only to once again change your desision to keep the guitar before you change you desision again and decide to keep the guitar... Temporarily

LOL, GUY
