MickeyD714 Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 I just checked the UPS tracking number--- and its here! As most of my guitars are used, I decided to get a new one: H- 157 in black is waiting for me at home. This closes out the year for guitar purchases. However, there is next year, only 4 months away. :-)

SouthpawGuy Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Who Dat?! Who Dat?! In the picture FredZepp posted ? Les Paul and, I believe, Ted McCarty .
DavesNotHere Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 In the picture FredZepp posted ? Les Paul and, I believe, Ted McCarty . Yes I believe you are correct, but that was not what I meant. Sometimes I forget we span the globe around here Who Dat? is a Southern Louisiana Cajun colloquialism and is a chant that the New Orleans Saints football (American football) fans yell at the games to cheer on their team. Often if you see someone out and about wearing a Saints shirt you yell "Who Dat?!" and they reply in kind. It's short for "Who dat say dey gonna' beat dem Saints?" The OP indicated he was a Saints fan and I was cheering him on with regards to new 157.

Around here it's usually something like "go on ya good thing" translation available here http://www.slang.ie/index.php?county=all&entry=go+on+ya+good+ting&letter=G

(repeated until nausea sets in for the opponant's fans).

MickeyD714 Posted September 13, 2013 Author Posted September 13, 2013 Well I finally got one photo to upload (computers just don't like me) . Brief review: Wonderfully warm, rich tones from the Seth Lover P-ups; when I hit the Dunlop mini-fuzz, it just rocks out. Neck is thicker than a LP 60's, but not as thick as the 50s -style neck on my SG. It is a very comfortable neck. What impresses me the most is how smooth it feels when I bend strings. I own a dozen guitars now, and this thing is just smooth as silk. And it's purdy.
