Pics of my Mahog Eagle

Acoustically: Dark and brooding, as you might expect. Low notes will sustain at length and it's fairly responsive to trilling. Not so much true for high notes.

Plugged in: Super clean and even all around. Sustains all over. What's really fun is kicking in the overdrive at mid to high volumes; you can get some bizarre distortion out of her with no feedback if you apply the right touch.

The irony is that the only reason I had these pics available was because someone inquired about buying her and wanted some pics. I took the pics, sent them and then immediately knew that I didn't really want to sell her. I never really gained any traction learning to play jazz so she doesn't really fit my style (see my distortion comment above) yet she's beautiful, she's fun and she's the only archtop in my Heritage collection. She stays.

The base of your bridge is from a Golden Eagle. Is that a solid hog Golden Eagle?

It has the same dimensions as a GE but it doesn't have a label in the body so I can't really tell. I don't think it's a GE though; there's no binding on the neck nor are there inlays or ebony,

That would be an interesting one to return to the factory. I'll wager it has a past. :)

I should add, those bridges are custom made and only distributed with Golden Eagles. I've been searching for inlaid bridges for some time; I have not yet found one.
