Billgelder Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 I have always used Jay Wolfe. The only other person I have bought a Heritage from was Brent of Brent's Guitar Emporium.
58super Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Mojo Music in Oakville Ontario. The only dealer in Canada I might add.
PunkKitty Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 I get my fix wherever I can. Then I try to resell them here, on other forums, and on ebay. I've never bought a new Heritage. But I bought some really nice closet queens.
pressure Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 The Music Gallery in Highland Park Il. USA. Picked up my Johnny Smith from them Friday. I had it PleKed and a small delamination of the finish on the back (about a 3/8" split along the seem) fixed. When I picked up Johnny I dropped off a Hamer Newport 90 to be PleKed.
tulk1 Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Mojos Music in Edwardsville, IL. Bob is great to work with. And if you have your specs where he has little to do but phone it in, you'll get an amazing price on your custom order. Plus he'll discount heavily for forum members on in stock guitars.
HANGAR18 Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 None of the "Heritage Dealers" in this area (Washington DC) keep Heritage guitars in stock. I would be a dealer if I had an actual brick & mortar store front. So, since there is such a thing as World Wide Web, and because I am former Florida resident, I'm calling Wolfe Guitars in Jupiter Florida my preferred dealer. And yes, I've been there once in person to do a deal.
TalismanRich Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Got my first Heritage, my Taylor and a Washburn strat for my son at Steilberg String Instruments. Local dealer and I went to high school with the owner.
koula901 Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 My answer to the question "Who's your dealer" is WHO'S YOUR MAMA! Nah . . . My dealer is whoever has the right guitar at the right price. My first couple were through Jerry's Lefty guitars, then I got wise and started buying them used.
big bob Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 It use to be elderly when I lived in Michigan. Then it was Dennis at Big Orange in Daytona, but Big Orange has one the way of so many other mom and pops.
Joe Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Music Man for my 555 when they had a store in Livonia, Michigan. I think they still have a store in Brighton. Aaron's Music In Vicksberg for my 157. He was well worth the drive.

That's right - Washington Music Center not only doesn't carry Heritage and they no longer catalog items, Jerry's Music in Rockville is no longer an entity and Music Land 200 Gateway DR Bel Air, MD 21014 doesn't have any items but has a catalog and will order you anything you want. If I was to buy another I would consider Jay in Florida or I would put a feeler in with Joe at archtop.com
HANGAR18 Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 doesn't have any items but has a catalog and will order you anything you want. That's the definition of a cashier and not a salesman.
Guest HRB853370 Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 I have always used Jay Wolfe. The only other person I have bought a Heritage from was Brent of Brent's Guitar Emporium. Some guy in a trailer park down the road gets me the best stuff!
Bulldog Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Jay Wolfe, but typically Elderly Instruments in Lansing......... enough said!
JeffB Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Im my own dealer. No one has sold me as much stuff as I have. Not one other dealer has been able to qualify me as well as I have. Repetitively and consistently I have pushed the right buttons and convinced myself to exchange cash for goods. I conquered the customer that refused to be sold to. And now Im dealing with the hangover and cleaning up the mess.
golferwave Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Brents Guitar Emporium in Michigan. Isn't that the place over on Brent Rocks Parkway?
SouthpawGuy Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Isn't that the place over on Brent Rocks Parkway? Near a GAS station.
brentrocks Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Isn't that the place over on Brent Rocks Parkway? LMAO
H555rocks Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Wolfe Guitars is the bomb dot com or if you please, the cat's pajamas.
