holyroller Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Hi,, if you wanted work done to you heritage can you send it to them ? Like say your but had gone out of wack , or frets ect. Will they do this ?
SouthpawGuy Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 I had my '86 VIP2, guitar, sent back to the factory for an upgrade from VIP wiring to D-VIP, and also a pickup upgrade to HRWs. That was maybe four years ago now.
PunkKitty Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 It really depends on what you need done. But a guitar rarely has to be sent back to the factory. In most cases a good luthier can handle the work. Just find the best one in your area.
holyroller Posted September 5, 2013 Author Posted September 5, 2013 Kitty were are u . Sounds like were close to each other

PunkKitty Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 A good luthier will be able to cut a new nut for you. I know a few in Chicago. But let me check into south Wisconsin/northern Illinois shops. There should be someone in Racine or Kenosha.
PunkKitty Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Here are some sources. I've used Cream City Music outside of Milwaukee before. They are very good. Their shop is awesome. http://www.yelp.com/search?find_desc=guitar+repair&find_loc=racine%2C+wi&ns=1&ls=77a3765efb28ea3f
PunkKitty Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 HR, this guy is a Heritage dealer. He should be able to help. Music Center WI7700 Green Bay RoadKenosha, WI 53142414-697-9393
TalismanRich Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 I wouldn't send a guitar to the factory for work like fret dressing or nut changes. Those can be done by a good luthier. However, when my 157 was in standing in a flooded basement, it ruined the finish up to about the bridge (it was on a stand). It was sent back to the factory for a refinish.
holyroller Posted September 5, 2013 Author Posted September 5, 2013 Kitty !! I spent a few sat at cream city awesome store!!thanks. Made a paisly strat and needs to be set up and tweaked.
High Flying Bird Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 My nuts has been out of wack for years. Probable from all the Flatulence That's some air pressure there buddy. I'll bet they sound like a boxer's speed bag when you fart.
Gitfiddler Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 The only time I'd send a guitar back to the factory would be for warranty work. And with Heritage, that would only apply to the original owner within the first year.
