Jmundell Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 I know Metric Bridge and Imperial Tailpiece but should I replace the brushings etc as well? Please advise! Also, which is the defacto standard for our beloved H150? Standard brass? HyBridge?
H Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Changing the bushings is unnecessary - unless you're swayed by the '<insert metal type here> produces greater sustain and magical harmonics' rhetoric abundant in guitar forums
58super Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 I didn't change the bushings but I did change the posts. The Fabers seemed to be a tighter fit.

rockabilly69 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Strong disagree here as think the Faber inserts fit tighter and go deeper into the body. Good contact is good contact, nothing magical about that! I have noticed improvements every time I have used them. I've got them in 3 of my current guitars, one Les Paul Special, two H150s. They also make the bridge posts that screw directly into the body which look like an even better option.
rockabilly69 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Take a look how the bottom portion of the stock insert wouldn't even make contact with the top along with the top. And she stock insert looks like thinly chrome plated pot metal!!!!!
Spectrum13 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 The deeper inserts also better resist rocking torque.... when string pressure causes the bridge posts to bend towards the neck. Depends on how high off the top your bridge is too.
Jmundell Posted September 13, 2013 Author Posted September 13, 2013 Thanks guys! Looks like I'll be getting the whoel nine yards~ Did you guys go with ToneLock?
