Semi-hollow advice

I am planning on purchasing my first semi-hollow body guitar next year. I would appreciate any recommendations, as I plan on spec-ing it out with Heritage.

It will most likely be a Millennium DC (but the Prospect is a possibility). I find the 535- types a bit large. I like the feel of Gibson’s 339.

So far:

COLOR: Trans Black or Vintage Wine- burst --– either one with gold hardware;

P-UPS: I’m leaning towards Seth Lovers , based on how well they sound on my H-157;

(I want a smooth, rich, blues sound.)

Fretboard: Ebony

Thanks for your input & suggestions.

I think, esthetically, the Prospect is a better guitar. More like the 535, but smaller (Gib 339). Has all the attributes of a semi-hollow, just a tad narrower in the waist, a bit smaller across the bouts. Not to say the Millie DC isn't a great guitar. I have a Custom Millie DC. I also have a Custom Prospect. I prefer my Prospect for every genre` of music. But, that is just me. There is some overwhelming love for the Millies going on right now. And well deserved it is. I'm just a Prospect fanboy.

In a nutshell a Millie DC will sound a lot closer to a 157 /150 than a Prospect. If you're looking for semi hollow tones in a small package the Prospect is the way to go.

I have a 157 and Millie Std Ultra, plus a 535 and Prospect. The Prospect has a floating block and Seth Lovers, it has the most open and woody tone of all four. The 157 with Schallers is at the opposite end of the spectrum, the Millie with HRWs sounds surprisingly close to it, especially the bridge p'up. The 535 with SD '59s has more punch than the Prospect but nowhere near as aggressive an attack as the 157 or Millie.

edited for clarity.

too add to Southpaws awesome tone chart...there is a Prospect listed here now which has slightly different construction, in that it has a full length center block like a 535. Worth noting that when you custom order, these variations have precedent and may be available to you.
