I quit using a wah about 6 years ago (coincidentally) around the same time I quit drinking booze........and (coincidentally) both my playing and personal life became much more stable :love3:

wow! wah was really holding you back. Glad you over came it. Good work.

You know what I mean. :)

What foot do you use (as in Right or Left) to operate a Wah pedal, and how do you think that compares to what which foot you think the majority of other players use?

example...

I use my __________ foot to operate a Wah and I think most players use their __________ foot.

hahahaha....are you serious???

someone record a tone demonstration to compare the two, quick..

Yes, I am serious, and since you asked I will share a story with you.

When I was young my mother noticed one day that I was eating oatmeal with my left hand. She grabbed the oatmeal away from me stirred it a little more and then handed it back to me and returned my spoon to my right hand. I realize that now because she wanted me to become a right handed person. Clearly it doesn't matter if one uses right hand or left hand to perform such a operation as eating oatmeal. Likewise I talk to young man how to play drums who happened to be left handed but I taught him how to play drums right handed.

My brain thinks in terms of industry standard. I recently had to relearn how to hold a pic so that I could achieve better performance. So while it doesn't matter which foot I use, I thought I might as well learn the best way since I'm learning from scratch. I have owned a wah panel for many years but I have never used it. I'm planning to start using that pedal very soon and wanted to make a decision as to which foot I should learn to use it with.

well in that case....I use BOTH feet...try it sometime, it really hammers home the tone....and it's good for the gastrocnemius :D

I'm right footed, so I always use my right foot. The only thing I use my left foot for is placing it down first, for balance, in front of my right foot when I walk.

Is this from an early 80's Mad Libs® book? You guys remember those, right!

example...

EX 1: I use my _breakdancing_ foot to operate a Wah and I think most players use their _Bullriding_ foot.

If not....Allow me to answer your original question.

example...

I use my _____Right_____ foot to operate a Wah and I think most players use their _____right_____ foot.

*I think a players "wah-foot" is typically going to coincide with their dominant hand.

I must have had 20 or so of those, kids now wouldn't know what to do with them.

I use my ________OMG________foot to operate a Wah and I think most players use their_________IDK_____foot.

Lefty that plays Righty guitar...but Left Footed Wah-Wah player.

Does that make me bi-polarized? :icon_scratch:

Same here Guit, I am a righty but do almost everything with my left hand just as well. That makes us amphibious.

By the way I bought the BYOC wah kit and put it in my wah. A lot less noise and a good sweep.

This is like asking what foot do you use on your bass drum pedal. What does it really matter?

Maybe both seem weird to me and I need to just pick one.

I'm right handed, right eye'd and if I had to pick one today, I would choose the left foot.
